If you are kind, caring and reliable, and have a genuine desire to help people, please complete the 'Contact Us' form at the bottom of the careers page and we will arrange for you to come in for a chat!.
Part/Full time hours are available.
We provide person centred domiciliary care for the elderly, those with physical or sensory disabilities, and those with health problems.
We provide individually tailored packages that meet the needs of the service user, while respecting their wishes and preferences. These packages will include tasks such as personal care (washing/bathing) and normal daily tasks such as bed making, shopping and meal preparation. In addition we offer a level of companionship and assistance with medication, including prescription collection.
Following an initial enquiry, the manager or other senior team member will meet every service user to assess their care needs and carry out a risk assessment. During this free visit we will discuss the range of services to be provided, date for starting and length of calls. We will also consult and supply information on any other help needed.
We offer home visits in our core operating hours of 06.45 until 19.30 every day, including weekends and Bank Holidays. In addition, an out of hours on call emergency number is always responded to by an experienced professional. This is a complimentary service.
At the start of a package, we initiate customer contact on a regular basis so that we can ensure that everything is going to plan and that the plan is still suitable.
Please note that we always allow 15 minutes either side of your allocated call time to allow for carers that may have been held up or delayed by another client, traffic problems etc. If a carer is going to be particularly late, we will phone to inform you and give you an expected arrival time. Please be reassured that should you become unwell during a visit, then our carers would show you the same care and attention that they may have shown the previous client, (i.e waiting for an ambulance) which was the cause of them being late to you.
You may cancel visits at any time, but please be aware that if less than 24 hours notice is given, you will still be charged for that visit. This does not apply to emergency hospital admissions.
There is a minimum charge for 30 minutes for any given visit. If you are allocated a 30 minute visit but the visit takes 45 minutes, you will be charged at the 45 minute rate. Likewise, if the visit takes under 30 minutes, and there is nothing else you wish the carer to do, you will still be charged for a 30 minute call.
Invoices will be sent fortnightly, for immediate payment by cheque or bank transfer.
In normal circumstances, we need 48 hours to instigate, restart or cancel a package.
